VEGVISIR
The Vegvisir—a symbol of ancient guidance—captures the Viking spirit. Deeply rooted in Norse mythology, it was believed to help navigators through rough seas. Picture the North Sea, where Viking longships bravely cut through fog and storm. Sagas recount seafarers relying on the Vegvisir to navigate the treacherous North Atlantic. For every Viking navigator, it symbolized hope amidst chaos.
Displayed as tattoos or amulets, this potent symbol represented not just direction but the unity of all journeys.
The Zero 15 embodies this symbol, guiding your subwoofers with precision. With Zero 15, this symbolism integrates with advanced audio technology, ensuring every beat resonates with clarity.
Logical Quads
The Zero 15 - Vegvisir inherits the same power and ground input terminal arrangement from the Zero 12. It features QUADS, meaning 4 Negative and 4 Positive 2/0 AWG - 67 mm² terminals. We pioneered this feature nearly 10 years ago. However, once the Zero 8 was introduced in 2018, it became known as the "logical quads," meaning the power and ground connection arrangement is systematically organized to avoid confusion. In fact, this is a welcomed feature that helps save time and reduce costly mistakes.
Each set of terminals consists of either negatives or positives—there's no mixing of the two. To simplify further, all positives are located in the center, while the negatives are on each side. This means you don’t have to worry about messy wires and cables causing unnecessary complications. With this setup, you will always have a clean and organized wiring arrangement that is easy to manage and maintain.
Half-Bridge in a Chain
Can you connect multiple half-bridge amplifiers together? Yes, you can connect them in a "chain" mode, where the signal originates from the master amplifier and is routed into the designated daisy amplifiers. In daisy chain mode, the audio settings of the master amplifier, such as gain and crossover, are applied to the subsequent daisy amplifiers. This configuration allows for the connection of amplifiers in nearly infinite numbers.
This feature is particularly useful when you are operating multiple subwoofers and struggle with gain-matching the amplifiers for them. If there is a slight voltage difference between the master and daisy amplifiers, you can use the gain daisy to fine-tune the signal by +/- 5%.
The Zero amplifiers come equipped with a remote in and remote out feature, so there is no need to split your switched 12v remote into multiple wires. They are designed with dual 4-gauge terminals, allowing you to connect them to your subwoofers without concern regarding wire size.
Partially Regulated Power
This cutting-edge technology effectively eliminates power loss associated with impedance rise in half-bridge designs. It delivers unparalleled power to higher ohm loads, far surpassing other unregulated half-bridge technologies. Operating with a dynamic power measurement that keeps total harmonic distortion (THD) below 1%, it optimizes performance with remarkable efficiency. Additionally, it slightly reduces regulation above 1% THD, ensuring the system reaches its utmost potential. The PRP feature stands as a major advancement for any half-bridge system, providing exceptional power and outstanding performance.
 Next Level
The Zero 15 sets a new standard beyond the impressive benchmarks established by the Zero 12, which was already a standout against competing half-bridge amplifiers. Since 2008 we have unveiled a few limited edition amplifiers, and the Zero 15 is the embodiment of a no-compromise amplifier. Affectionately referred to as a "surfboard," its design allowed us to prioritize power and stability without the constraints of smaller vehicle designs. With over a 20% increase in power compared to the Zero 12, this amplifier maxed out amp dyno at 4 ohms. Remember, substantial power demands a powerful battery setup; if you're considering a solid investment in the right power source, you can move forward confidently. This Vegvisir will be available in limited quantities, making it a prized possession for those with the highest standards.
