THE EVOLUTION OF AN ICON
The foundations of the RAMPAGE were established in 2012, evolving from the iconic and groundbreaking X2C subwoofer equipped with a 5″ voice coil. While the RAMPAGE utilizes a 4″ coil platform, it not only honors its legacy but boldly elevates performance beyond expectations.
The innovative basket design enhances cooling through advanced SAFT (Smooth Air Flow Technology) and boasts a superior XMAX over the earlier model. With a peak-to-peak excursion of 3.15″ (80 mm), achieved using 315 mm (12.4″) spiders on this 15″, you’ll experience impressive flex with minimized distortion. Every detail in these meticulously crafted units plays a crucial role as you test the limits.
WIDEBODY
The OCAF Version II (Optimized Cooling and Flow), integrated into the advanced motor design, accommodates the significant contours of the X2C’s backplate. Additionally, the pole piece features a dual cooling system that effectively directs airflow away from the voice coil. With an internal diameter of 4″ and an outer diameter of 4.33″, this coil is classified as widebody. The 8-layer tall winding design is meticulously engineered for consistent use and extended demonstrations, effortlessly meeting the demanding requirements of the audio scene.

The motor of the RAMPAGE ELITE has undergone a 20% increase in diameter compared to the standard RAMPAGE. The use of quad Y35 slugs, as opposed to the previous triple configuration, enhances the motor’s force. These slugs are now bolted through the backplate and attached to the modified and taller top plate, which promotes stability and minimizes the risk of shifting. With a motor assembly weight of 1400 oz, this is the ELITE of the RAMPAGE series.Â
2024 marked the first revision of the ELITES. The surround height increased by nearly 15%, reducing the mechanical strain once the limits are exceeded, improving audio response as less distortion will be amplified.Â
Maintaining the MMS similar to the previous model was achieved by utilizing full carbon fiber cones and dust caps, ensuring that the T/S parameters remain within tolerance.Â
